ISEC has for the 2nd year running, delivered an Emergency Response training desktop for the upcoming Defqon music festival which will see 2500 patrons camp on site and another 20 000 attend the festival the following day.
“We are delighted to again be associated with such a large scale event in this our second year hosting a series of stakeholders to provide information on the response protocols applied to any emergency,” said Tony Daou, ISEC CEO.
The desktop training exercise was presented by Peter Armstrong (ISEC) and was attended by all stakeholders including police, ambulance, and department of health, first aid and security.
The purpose of the exercise was to validate the emergency response plan and understand the processes involved in dealing with certain incidents / emergencies.
“Having only recently been responsible for safely evacuating over 20,000 minors when major storms interrupted the Good Life Event we were able to provide stakeholders with insight as to how we along with all other stakeholders working collaboratively we able in ensuring the safety of all patrons during that event”, Simone Elbeb, ISEC General Manager Events.
